Passport Procedure

Hi !
My name is Atharva and I'm going to explain procedure about Indian passport.
I will tell you how to apply for passport and after that what are the procedures we have to follow.

Register here for the first time and after that you have to login with your credentials.

After successful login click apply for fresh passport.
Always try to go with online process rather than offline. So I will recommend you to go with  Alternative 1 which is a process of filling online form. 
You can fill the application form online (internet connection is required to fill the form online). 

You can choose Alternative 2 which is a offline process in which:
1.You can download the soft copy of the form.
2.Fill it offline (internet connection is not required to fill the form offline)
3.Upload the filled form.

STEP 1) FORM FILL UP

So I selected Alternative 1 that is Online Form.
Select the options 
Applying for :  
Type of Application : Normal
Type of Passport Booklet : 36 Pages 

Click Next

After that you have to Fill Applicant details:
Note : If your name is - Karan Arjun Kapoor
Then type Karan Arjun in Given Name  and type kapoor in surname textbox.

Given Name : Karan Arjun
Surname : Kapoor

Fill the applicant details you will need aadhar card number pan card number address etc.
Please fill the address correctly including house number, street number , colony , city.

Fill Family Details :
Fathet Name should be as per printed in Pan Card of applicant. Enter father name as per printed in your PAN card.

Are you eligible for NON - ECR category : Yes

ECR (Emigration Check Required) or Non-ECR (ECNR)." The category for an Non-ECR (or EMNR-Emigration Check Not Required) that appears to apply for you is "holder of a matriculation certificate." so if you completed your 10th class you belong to the non-ECR category.

If you completed your SSC that is 10th class or Diploma or if you completed any Graduation
then you came under Non - ECR category. 

Priview your filled application check three times atleast. 
Then click on SUBMIT to submit your application.

STEP 2) SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT

Click on Schedule Appointment for Application Submission 
Check appointment quota if it is less than or equal to 200 then you will get appointment for next day itself.

NOTE: Avoid appointment on monday.
You have submitted the form and it will be active for the rest of  90 days so within 90 days you have to schedule appointment. If you missed it then your submitted form will get deleted automatically after 90 days and again you have to fill application form.

So select PSK as per your residence.

Then pay and book appointment.
You will get payment reciept and appointment confirmation.

Upload Supporting Documents aadhar card/e- aadhar car pan card etc

NOTE: Print passport size photo with dark shirt and only WHITE baground havin size of width is 3.5 and height is 4.5 that is 3.5x4.5 cm photo.

APPOINTMENT DAY PROCEDURE
On the day of appointment you have to carry application print only first page and following documents:
1)Aadhar card
2)PAN Card
3)Voter/Election card
4)Matriculation(SSC) Certificate that is 10th Certificate NOT markshit.
5)Birth Certificate 
If DOB is 1995 and above then they required Birth Certificate.
Birth Certificate is Mandetory.
6)Driving Licence

You have to carry all above original documents and only one set of xerox.
There you will get assigned a token number by the watchman at the time of entering to PSK. Watchman will write token number on your appointment letter.

After that you have to wait for your token number to blink on display when it will get displayed you have to go to higher authorities for documents verification purpose. If you have all these above document set both original as well as xerox set then they will verify each and every document for same spelling of name middleame surname, address on each document. They want same name and address and DOB on Aadhar card , Voter ID card, PAN card, Matriculation Certificate and Birth Certificate. If all are same and verified by authorities then they will grant you to go for next verification that is fingerprint and iris verification.

There are 2 or 3 sections like A1 , A2 you have to go to any one section like A2 then they will verify your fingerprint and iris. After that they will capture your passport size photo on the spot.
NOTE: Please wear formal dark color shirt when you go to PSK for verification. That photo will be get printed in your passport.


After this you have to go to main officer in section B.
You have to submit your application at section B and they will verify everything and sometimes will ask you question like why do need a passport. They will tell your errors in form if any. If there will be any error then you have to make it correct and have to reschedule your appointment. If no error then you will get acknowledgement reciept which is very important.

POLICE VERIFICATION
You have to go to police station in your area and ask them for document list. Police officer will give you the print including list of documents required.
LIST of documents (In marathi language as per police officer given me):
1.Acknowledgement reciept
2.Nagarpalikeche Rahivasi certeficate
3.Vartanuk Nagarsevakache
      You will have to purchase this letter from store and you have to get sign and stamp from your Nagarsevak came under your area.
4.Voter ID card
5.Aadhar card 
6.Ration card
7.Birth Certificate
8.PAN card
9.Marriage Certificate : if you married then only it required.
10. Name change certificate if you had changed your name.
11.Leaving Certificate (T.C.)
12.Bank passbook
13.Lightbill
14.Namuna No. 8 that is Property Tax Certificate( Gharpatti, Nalpatti Reciept)
15.Sarkari Nokar aslyas sambandhit khatyache na harkat praman patra.
16.yapurvi passport kadhla aslyas  tya babat xerox
17.Passport size photo 4
18.Sakshidaranche olakhpatra ( aadharcard of two witness
19.Arjadaracha Rahate Garasamor Sakhshidarasaha 4x6 size che 2 photo.

You have to capture only one photo with two witness in front of your house with surrounding too. So I recommend local professional photographet to take your photo.

You have to carry all these original documents with 2 set of xerox in same sequence. You have to sign each xerox copy then go to police station and give it to police officer.
Police officer will record your and both witness data in MS Word and you have to visit the PSI in police station to be get verified by them.
And your file is ready.
Give some procesisng fee then they will not ignore you. But actually you need not to give any such processing fee. Its as per your concern. 
Then they will forward your file to another office and thats it.
After 7 days you will get your passport by speed post.
